Question:

Where do I fit the snow chains? On the front or rear tyres?

Answer:

If the vehicle has four-wheel drive, we recommend fitting snow chains to all 4 wheels (in any case check the owner's and service manual).

Question:

I've lost the label with the chain size. How can I retrieve the size of my chains?

Answer:

You will find König snow chain measurements on the (S-shaped green or zinc-plated) hooking device positioned on the outer side of the chain. On some particularly old models the size is indicated on the plastic cable

Question:

My car xxxx has xxx/yy-kk tyres (e.g. 235/60 R18). What model and size of chain can I fit?

Answer:

Select the search "by car model" option from the "Guide to Choosing" menu. Here you can select the make and model of your car with the respective tyre size and obtain the models and size of König snow chains recommended by us.

Question:

What chain size corresponds to xxx/yy-kk (e.g. 235/60/R18) tyres?

Answer:

Select the search "by tyre size" option from the "Guide to Choosing" menu. Here you can select the tyre size and obtain the models and size of König snow chains available.

Question:

What size of tyres can I fit my XXX (e.g. 240) chains to?

Answer:

Select the search "by chain size" option from the "Guide to Choosing" menu, enter the size of the chains you own and you will find all of the tyre sizes on which they can be fitted.

Question:

Can you provide me with information about the König Zip 9, Zip Ultra, Zip 12 and Zip Transport models?

Answer:

The ZIP line includes 4 models of snow chain, respectively 9mm, 9mm with self-tensioning system, 12mm and SUV, developed by König for the large-scale retail trade. These models are therefore still in production and can be found in supermarkets throughout Italy.

Question:

The car manufacturer says that chains can't be fitted to my car. Is it possible to fit snow chains?

Answer:

Thanks to many years working together with car manufacturers and rigorous in-house testing performed on cars on which snow chains cannot be fitted, König has developed a number of specific snow chains to overcome the problem of cars on which chains cannot be fitted: K7, the only 7-mm chain, and K-Summit XL and XXL, external-type chains, i.e. without any parts on the inner side of the tyre.

Can I fit snow chains on winter tyres?

Answer:

Snow chains can be fitted on winter tyres and ensure greater safety, performance and grip during acceleration and braking.
